Location: Winnipeg, MB

The Senior Project Manager will manage tactical and strategic projects of large scale and wide scope, from initial conce ption to final implementation. This will include developing a plan, creating and obtaining approval of project charters, assigning tasks and project staff, ensuring user involvement and commitment, leading regular project reviews to deal with project issues, monitoring and approving projects at each progressive phase, reviewing and rep orting on project status, issues and priorities, planning, budgets, risk and quality management, and deciding on carrying out corrective action, as necessary.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum ten (10) years of project management experience including experience managing large projects and information technology projects; and
• Project Management Professional (PgMP®) designation.

Minimum Required Skills

• Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and software (MS Project and Microsoft Office) in a Windows environment;
• Proficiency in project management techniques and methodologies;
• Ability to learn new software products;
• Ability to provide leadership to a diverse group of multi-disciplinary teams;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
• Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders in confrontational situations;
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment; and
• Proficiency in systems design and systems analysis would be an asset.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with requirements management tools (i.e. Confluence, Jira, BitBucket etc.); and
• Experience with team collaboration tools (i.e. Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, Cisco Jabber, Slack etc.).
