The Full Stack Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using Java technologies. The Full Stack Java Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design solutions that align with the organization's architecture and strategic vision. The Full Stack Java Developer will play a key role in supporting the implementation of these solutions by collaborating with development teams to ensure that the technical implementation aligns with the design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java technologies;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design solutions that align with the organization's architecture and strategic vision;
- Support the implementation of solutions by collaborating with development teams to ensure that the technical implementation aligns with the design;
- Conduct code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices are followed;
- Ensure software solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable; and
- Stay up-to-date with technology trends and recommend changes to the organiz ation's architecture and technology stack as needed.
Minimum Relevant Experience
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience in software development using Java technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate;
- RESTful API, Microservices Architecture;
- JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, React, Vue.js;
- Database Technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.);
- DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible;
- Agile development methodologies;
- Strong problem-solving skills; and
- Excellent communication skills.
The Full Stack Java Developer should have experience in digital modernization and cloud migration, and be able to provide expertise in these areas. Knowledge o f the WCB or other insurance business domain may be considered an asset.
Overall, The WCB requires a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Java Developer who can design and develop high-quality software solutions that align with the organization's overall architecture and strategic vision. The Full Stack Java Developer should have experience with cloud computing, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
