The Website Designer /Developer will be responsible for designing and developing visually appealing and user-friendly websites. The Website Designer/Developer will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design website layouts, and create website func tionality. The Website Designer/Developer will play a key role in implementing websites, collaborating with development teams to ensure that the technical implementation aligns with the design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts that meet client requirements;
- Create website functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages and tools;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure the technical implementation aligns with the design;
- Support the implementation of websites by collaborating with development teams to ensure the technical implementation aligns with the design;
- Conduct quality assurance tests to identify and fix website issues; and
- Stay up-to-date with technology trends and recommend changes to improve website design and functionality.
Minimum Relevant Experience
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience in website design and development.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other releva nt programming languages and tools;
- Familiarity with website design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools;
- Knowledge of website accessibility standards and best practices;
- Understanding of SEO principles and optimization techniques;
- Experience with website hosting and deployment using FTP or similar tools;
- Familiarity with website analytics tools such as Google Analytics; and
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
In addition to the techn ical skills required for the role, the Website Designer/Developer should possess strong creative and problem-solving skills. The Website Designer/Developer should be able to understand client requirements and design visually appealing and user-friendly websites that meet those requirements. The Website Designer/Developer will have a proven track record of designing and developing high-quality websites that al ign with industry standards and best practices.
